Senator Jeff Denham is first candidate
in CD 19 to sign the Club for Growth
Pledge to Repeal a Federal Takeover
of the Health Care system

FRESNO, CA -- Senator Jeff Denham today became the first candidate in the 19th congressional district to sign the Club for Growth Repeal It! Pledge. Denham pledged to work to repeal any federal government takeover of the health care system that takes place in 2010.

"America's health care system needs reform, but the Obama/Pelosi plan decreases choices, jeopardizes quality and increases taxes," said Denham. "I will work with Club for Growth and any other groups dedicated to defeating or repealing this dangerous step toward a complete federal takeover of our health care."

Senator Denham is the leading candidate for the 19th district, currently represented by Congressman George Radanovich, who is leaving Congress at the end of his term.

Radanovich and many other conservatives in Congress have endorsed Denham, as have an overwhelming majority of local elected officials in the district.
