Jeff Denham Quickly Garners Key Endorsements in Congressional Race

FRESNO, CA -- Republican State Senator Jeff Denham has spent the last 24 hours fielding calls from key Republican and conservative leaders in central California and in Congress offering support for his campaign in the 19th congressional district. Denham announced his candidacy yesterday after incumbent Congressman George Radanovich made public his decision to not seek reelection.

In addition to Congressman Radanovich, Denham has received endorsements from Congressman Kevin McCarthy (R-Bakersfield), Congressman Ed Royce (R-Orange County), Congressman Wally Herger (R-Live Oak), Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-San Diego) and Congressman John Campbell (R-Orange County).

Republican leaders from the central valley who have already endorsed Denham for Congress include State Assemblymembers Tom Berryhill and Bill Berryhill, who between them represent 200,000 constituents in the 19th congressional district.

Also announcing their early support for Denham are Madera County Supervisors Frank Bigelow, Ronn Dominici and Tom Wheeler, Modesto Mayor Jim Ridenour, Modesto Council Member Kristin Olsen and Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson.

"Considering this has all happened so fast, and over the holidays, I am overwhelmed that so many key conservative leaders in our district and in Washington have reached out to me and offered to join my campaign," said Denham.

Denham is a valley almond grower and businessman as well as a 16 year veteran of the United States Air Force. In addition to running his business and farm, he has served central California in the State Senate for seven years, where he has established a record as a strong proponent for taxpayers, farmers and small business owners.
